ENGLISH-JAPANESE TECHNICAL & BUSINESS TRANSLATION
SERVICES & PRICING
Unlike other translation companies, who maintain a database of hundreds of translators in various languages, we are a highly specialized team of less than 20 professional translators. Almost every member of our team works full-time as a translator, and all of us have many years of experience in translation. This experience spans a wide range of technical and business fields, including pharmaceutical, information technology, video transcription/subtitling, instruction manual localization, etc.
Field of specialization
- HR Policy Manuals
- Product Manuals
- Information Technology
- Academic papers
Honest disclosure: The fields listed above are drawn from our experience and strengths. We are quite happy to admit that we are not as strong in fields such as marketing, insurance and financial analyst reports.
In general, our pricing for text translation (e.g. text in MS-Word documents, without fancy formatting work required) is as follows.
NOTE: Highly specialized or otherwise difficult material, in other words, material that takes additional time to translate, may require a higher rate and we will discuss these with you. For most documents, including fairly complex business and technical documents within our areas of experise, the rates below will apply.
English to Japanese: USD $0.13 per source English word.
Japanese to English: USD $0.11 per source Japanese character.
We are able to OCR clean PDF files without extra charge, but if the PDF is handwritten or hard to read, we may have to charge an extra fee.
When you order a translation from our firm, this is what you get:
1. Accurate, complete translations
No vagueness, ambiguity, mistranslations or omissions, and no machine translations.
2. On time delivery
One of the biggest fears when ordering a translation is for the translator to become uncontactable, or for the translator to call and say that they cannot deliver on time; for many years, each and every member of our team has always delivered on time, no ifs and no buts.
3. Quality review
Prior to delivery, a different translator will always review the translation to ensure that it meets our strict quality standards. Whenever you provide us with feedback, we take it seriously, and learn from it, applying it to subsequent jobs.
